The Odd Couple (Quinn and Kai apartment)

Looking down to the small body in his arm. A young boy. That unruly hunter had said so. And he had seen the boy shirtless, so he supposed what he had said was true. So small and so weak... how could someone see something like that and harm it? It was disgusting. He sighed and then shifted the boy slightly, pulling up his keys and unlocking the door to the apartment, pushing it open with his foot. He entered and then closed the door with his foot in the same way. First things first, he went to the couch in the living room and lay the boy down gently. He had stayed asleep through most of the surgery, but thankfully to the advances recently in medicine, he was fixed up and was able to get rest outside of the hospital. Quinn didn't know the child's medical information, a name, nothing, so it was all they could do. The doctor there instructed him on what he should do to dress his wounds and make sure he didn't move around much. He had to be given blood and an IV, and many other procedures. It made Quinn even more sick thinking about it.
Even while being infected, keeping their humanity was all that separated them from being animals. Though that Hunter was only giving the rest of them a bad name.
Sighing, Quinn pushed the thought from his mind he looked down at the blonde boy laying on the couch. He didn't want to simply leave him there, but he had to take a shower. He had lifted many boxes and had to work while the child was being treated, and now felt dirty and sweaty. Sighing he then pushed his hand through his hair. The child will be fine here for a few minutes. He is dead asleep, so he'll be fine. He told himself mentally, going to the back room and heading to the bathroom. The apartment was small. It had a living room that connected to a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a shared bathroom. Nothing special, just the right size for two people. It was a decision out of convenience for himself and his unruly roommate. Their irregular hours made it easy for them to not see one another, so it wasn't like Quinn had to deal with the company. Quinn worked through most of the day and a little bit into the afternoon, and then Kai worked mostly through the night while Quinn was home. And they only had to pay half of the rent each. It was an alright deal for a nice place.
Quinn got to the bathroom and removed his work clothes, getting into the shower and enjoying the warm water. He sighed and cleaned himself off, scrubbing with his purchased generic soap and shampoo. His mind wandered a bit on how he would explain to the immune child's parent on what had happened and how he should speak with the kid once he woke up. He was sure he would be scared out of his mind.
What the common infected didn't know, was that Alice was waking up, finally seeming to come around. Waking up slowly, mind groggy from the pain killers he had been given, and in a place he didn't know.

Today was seriously not Kai's day. It was a bitch. A big fat fucking pain in the neck. Bullshit. Everything bad. He got to go home slightly early which would normally be a benefit to the spoiled hunter but this one chick who did Kai wrong at the club ruined his whole day. The bratty male tugged on his dog-eared hood almost violently, crashing past the doors and cursing out at his life. He let out a sound between a sigh and a hiss and kicked the door to his and Quinn's apartment wide open. He'd fix the door. Eventually.
"Yo cocksucker, you'll never fucking guess what happened today this bitch tried to own me."
Kai spat venomously. He didn't normally talk to Quinn about anything but today... Today he just had to talk to someone not trembling like Rex or as fucking retarded as Xander. Quinn wouldn't sympathize or anything but it was better getting on that guy's nerves more than anything. In his rage, Kai stormed past the stirring figure on the couch when he headed to the fridge. The dog ears of his hood bounced with every step he made.
"Where the fuck are ya? I need some help getting the equipment outta the truck."
He insisted, catching a can of soda in his hand. The hunter's temper was evident as he kicked the fridge door closed and started stalking onto the sofa. His nonexisting eyes laid upon a small figure on the couch. Kai stood motionless largely due to shock. What followed next was only natural.
"WHY THE FLYING FUCK IS SOME BITCH ON OUR COUCH?!"

Quinn was just starting to wash his hair when a loud banging noise came from the front door, followed by yelling. For a second, he was about to leap from the bathroom with his hair still filled with suds. But he recognized that voice. And sure, he was annoying and idiotic and an asshole on his good days, he didn't believe Kai would do anything to harm the booy blonde on the couch. Though his loud enterance was going to wake him, he was sure. So he quickly washed his hair and then grabbed his towel, drying himself off proprly with one hand and then leaned against the counter to expertly tie te towel around his waist. "I was in the shower." he commented flatly, "You can tell me once I'm changed."
Alice though, had forced his perfect blue eyes open at the loud noises. His head was grogy and he couldn't get a good baring on where he was. He heard noises, but he couldn't distinguish it. He slowly rose his head a bit, a throbbing reaching his whole body. Ow, why did his body hurt?! He didn't know what was going on! He wasn't at home. Where was he? His eyes opened and he woke a bit more, seeing movement. He turned his head a bit and his eyes fell onto the loud infected who had just noticed him. Though at the sight, something in Alice seemed to snap. His eyes went wide, his face pale, his whole body tensing and pushing against the back of the couch to try and get as far away from the male as possible, letting out a scream that could send chills up a person's spine. A scream only someone who feared for their life could produce.
Quinn was out of that bathroom and in the living room in a matter of seconds, a look of worry and anger on his face. What the fuck had Kai done to cause the human to scream like that?! He then looked back and forth and noted that Kai was too far away to have done anything. Though the blonde male was shaking like a leaf. He looked close to feinting. Quinn then sighed a bit, going towards the small boy, "Hey, it's alright." he said then in a soft voice. A voice he was sure his roommate didn't know he had. After all, he never had to speak that way before. "We aren't here to hurt you. You are safe." he said.
Alice looked to this new guy then, shaking and still scared. Though at the words, he relaxed just a bit, a whimper comming fromhim and then tearing up and sniffling. Now that the shock and adrenaline had calmed itself, the fear set in and he delt with it the only way he knew how. Quinn then looked to Kai, feeling perhaps he could explain, "He was attacked by a hunter." he stated then, frowning a bit, "You should probably leave." he then added. He knew it was rude for him to even say it, but it was true. If this blonde boy was afraid of Hunters now, then having Kai here would only make it worse.
Alice then finally looked up, whimpering and then choosing to speak, though his voice was oddly raspy and weak, "I'm... a girl." he then corrected. The one thing that came to his mind, and that was what he chose to say. "Not... not 'he'." he mumbled, but looked down and realized that he was bandages up and he was wearing a baggy shirt that could have been mistaken for a boy's. Where was his shirt? Oh right, he had been attacked. His shirt was ruined. He trembled and brought a hand up to the back of his neck, bandages covering his neck and back. Scuttle had really did a number on him.
